Hldsupdatetool is no long in use.You have to use steamcmd to update servers if
you are running hldm, 1.6, csgo, nuclear dawn, RO2, killing floor, etc.

CentOS 6.3 works with the new update. But I know some GSP dont offer it.
Debian i have not tested with the update but it keeps its libs up to date and
theres no reason why it should not work
I am using Gentoo on another box and that works perfectly fine as well.
Are you running update with SteamCMD? You cannot use hldsupdatetool anymore.

Love you Alfred, some much needed bug fixes! We were using a amxx plugin to
stop that respawn bug and that exploit was something i faced issues with too. I

pass and then it took in the server rcon and now it lets me use rcon

There seems to be a new exploit, it lags the server. In console you see a lot
of Client sent drop msgs. Those clients never even connect or were not even
playing.

I think there is a new exploit out. Today on one of my servers someone was able
to download my server.cfg file and was able to upload his own motd file with a
link to a virus download. I checked my cstrike folder and it had server.cfg.ZTMP
