Hi,
APAR PK71583 is now closed with a PTF and we have tested this with good results
in a number of IMS subsystems running Version 10.
IMS Version 10 even with this APAR and without running Fast Path is using more
common storage than Version 9 for each IMS subsystems.

IBM announced IMS Version 11 this week. Details here:

The Quality Partnership Program (QPP) for IMS V11 will begin on January 16,
2009. The general availability date will be announced later. IMS V11 will
run on z/OS 1.9 or
Hi,
We are in the process of implementing IMS Version 10.
There is some significant VSCR relief in IMS Version.
IMS Version 10 provides virtual storage constraint relief (VSCR) in the
following areas:
Database resource adapter enhancement. IMS can now allocate the PCB list
that the DRA passes
Hi,
There is currently no relief available. We hit this one head on at disaster
recovery testing.
"PTFs for SB78-5C failures invoking services of the MAXM Database Advisor will
be included in the maintenance release scheduled for August 2008. In the
interim, the circumvention is to specify A
I did indeed find the version identifier where you said it would be in
DFSRRC00. Problem solved. Thank you, particularly Mark!
Still, let me wonder why a built-in function doesn't do this instead,
something like DB2's CONNECT, PL/I's SYSVERSION or LE's CEEGPID (or some
standardized equivalent)?
In SHOWzOS v714 (not yet available) I add a display for IMS Version V9 and
above.
AFAIK the coding won't work with IMS V8 and earlier.

Look in the RESLIB at member DFFSRRC00 -- about 6 lines down after you
will see something like:

The 710 means this is IMS version 710

This may be OT, but I don't have an IMS list address?
I am being asked to test a new version of IMS (Version 8.1), and it seems
elementary to confirm what version I actually have. Like ISPF ZENVIR, does
IMS have a command or DLI function that returns this in some form --

Sorry, don't know how I missed this one last week. Details on the
