As of z/OS 1.7 JES2 you can use the command:
$LJQ,OUTGRPS
to display the number of JOEs for all jobs on the system. On a test system
you would see:
STC1 $HASP891 OUTPUT($MASCOMM) OUTGRPS=0
STC2 $HASP891 OUTPUT(IRRDPTAB) OUTGRPS=1
STC3 $HASP891 OUTPUT(ZFS) OUTGRPS=0
STC4
It has been awhile since I had to trouble shoot this type of problem.
Does anyone know of a way in JES2/SDSF to identify the job that has produced a
significant number of JOEs?
I had a situation where we ran out of JOEs. Other than reviewing the entire
output queue manually, is there an
