Hi,
thanks to all, who answered to my note. The CSI I'm talking about is a

to use CONTENT(CRITICAL). I have already done so, but as soon, as I'm

Hi Radoslaw,
in your note you mentioned the idea to apply all (installable) PTFs.
This idea leads me to the reason for opening this topic. I'm involved in
an IBM project for preventive maintenance packages named CPMz. One major
idea behind this project is to apply as few PTFs as possible, but
Hi Ant,
in theory that's possible, but it would be very uncomfortable to process
more than a few PSP bucket files in such way. I'm looking for a solution
where I can automate this process, for example to identify any update
change in the PSP bucket files.

Hi Kurt,
thanks, that is the information I wasn't aware of, the fact that for
CICS there isn't a special category like for IMS or DB2 and that these
PTFs are all together in this generic category. So all PTFs from the
former PSP extract files are now in any category either in a specific or

I would try a ZONEMERGE for the FMIDS from the z/OS 1.8 system. This

AFAIK your problem is not a missing UPGRADE of your SMP/E CSIs or
something else in your environment. You have to pick up the FIXCAT HOLDs

One place to pick them up should be the FTP server at
