If you collected SMF records for that day, I think your best bet is going
through them and find out who deleted or altered that dataset.

We have a z9 and use CoD regularly (2 to 3 times a year.) To this date, it has
not affected our applications and/or subsystems (DB2, CICS, etc.) in any way.

It will change the amount. But you need to change the VTAM number of entries
to correspond with the increase.

What level of z/OS are you? Depending on the release, you can specify
DSNTYPE=LARGE if you have set your SMS to accept it.

You can either create a new dataclass with DSNTYPE=LARGE included or
just add the parameter to to DD statement.

Forget about HRECALL. Use HRECOVER, that way you get the backup. You can even
go back a couple of generations in case the last one was corrupted.

In the z9 boxes, it is in the HMC and it can be turned on and off from there
WITHOUT requiring a POR. ResourceLink has the instructions how.
We have done it about 3 times, during certain peak times. Your vendor or IBM
rep can give you all the details you need.
