I dont think you'll find such a thing. I always thought IBSYS/IBJOB were the predecessors of DOS/360, and DOS/360 was written as a temporary holdover to run on the 360 until OS was ready, because OS was completely new implementation of things on the new machine (i.e. a completely new OS). Joe

That's certainly where I go for manuals, but I'm not aware of any historical documents on bitsavers going into the history of OS/360 and what influenced it. I was hoping for an online reprint of relevant articles from, e.g., CACM, IBM Journal of Research and Development, IBM Systems Journal.
