Where is your problem? This is a configurable option, and it is well documented in the
manual. I don`t know the default setting, but if you know what to do (or at least have
read the manual) you will have a look at all SMTP settings, and so you will change
this option if you want to.

I have a IMail 6.06 server and Outlook98 and Outlook2000 Clients in a LAN. The 800
clients use IMAP.
My problem is: If i open a message, read it and close it again, the message is still
marked as unread. If i open the message a second time it gets marked as read.
This happens
Aliases don't show up in LDAP.
Accourding to the manual the mail gets delivered to the mailbox, not to
the alias.
I did
it for me with manually manipulating the LDAP database. But this has
disadvantages also.

settings on the new server manually. Then backup the complete IMail directory and
restore it on the new server over a fresh
