You are likely aware of Agile Networks finalizing an agreement with the State
of Indiana to lease the state’s assets to establish a statewide network which
will allow telecom participants to utilize assets previously inaccessible. This
expansion will allow telecom and infrastructure providers to take advantage of
our open access model, making it easy for wireless and other providers to enter
new urban and rural markets in Indiana.

We have strong relationships with WISPs where our network is already
established and provide them with reliable, established backhaul in order to
further expand their network and service additional customers. We intend to do
the same in Indiana.

Kyle Quillen, Agile Networks Founder and CTO, will be attending WISPAPALOOZA in
Las Vegas, NV and he would like to meet with you if you are attending that
event. While meeting, Kyle can provide an overview of the agreement, what it
means to the WISP community, and how Agile can partner with you.

We are currently setting up meeting times for October 10 from 3:00p to 5:00p
and October 11 from 9:00a to 1:00p. If you would like to sit down and meet
one-on-one with Kyle, please respond with a time that works for you that falls

another time and Kyle will see if he can make it work for his schedule.

If you would like to sit down and meet
one-on-one with Kyle, please respond with a time that works for you that falls
within that timeframe. If neither timeframe works, don’t hesitate to propose
another time and Kyle will see if he can make it work for his schedule.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are
excited to partner with you!

Re: [Indiana] Agile Networks

2016-09-16 Thread Steve Barnes
Guys I had a long conversation with Kyle today as well.

I think there is a lot that Agile could offer us. I told him directly that I
had no gripe with him or his company and given the opportunity that he got, I
would have taken it as well.

The issue that I have is how the state of Indiana started this as an RFI for
management of INDOT and State towers and it grew into control of those towers,
Fiber conduits, and management of state right of ways that Agile is the whole
seller for but is not limited to wholesale only. They have the opportunity to
utilize that infrastructure and compete with us not just be a managing company
for the facilities.

Again I have no issue with Agile or Kyle Quillan just what the government has
done to us again. If this gets finalized through the state house I will likely
work with Agile for some space.

money making opportunity. Whether that be simply from leasing, or there are
salivating on the revenue sharing aspect of it. A couple of these HAMs work
for IOT and they don’t see at as an opportunity for HAMs, even those that can
afford American tower rental rates. DMR is really taking off in Indiana and
some HAM guys are putting up some serious repeaters, even paying tower rent.

Re: [Indiana] AGILE NETWORKS TO EXPAND INTO THE STATE OF INDIANA

2016-09-07 Thread Tyson Burris @ Internet Communications Inc
Funny how several of us get no love on the state (or local) level, but as soon
as money is thrown around arms open up wide. Typical government policy making.
If they get any FREE access I would demand we ALL have access. -cough – cough

Curious if Amanda is involved. Is she still at the IEDC? I believe she said
the broadband mapping program ran dry.

It has been typical lately for tax dollars (state and federal) to work its way
to out of state workers and companies.

I see the same thing. I am unclear if they are just a leasing agent type of
deal, or they are going to expand their own network too. I figured we leased
the toll road, so why not lease everything else? I figured streams and lakes
are next. Outsource the DNR. LOL

As many of you know getting the state onboard with us WISPs has been an uphill
challenge. I remember going to a meeting several years ago when WIMAX was
becoming a thing. I know several of you guys were there. What they wanted was
just not possible, and they didn’t want to pony up the availability of assets
at that time.

I don’t want to sound all doom and gloom but maybe it will be a good thing. I
reached out to the contact on the notice and received the following:

We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (marketing)
may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group. A
few more details on why you weren't able to post:

* You might have spelled or formatted the group name incorrectly.
* The owner of the group may have removed this group.
* You may need to join the group before receiving permission to post.
* This group may not be open to posting.

So I forwarded this on to their info@ e-mail off their web-site. I am going to
mention we have the nbbc co-op in Indiana and how it could be a central
clearing house if they don’t want to deal with all kinds of smaller entities. I
mainly want to get the scoop from them.

I do know from several other HAM radio guys the state is looking at this as a
money making opportunity. Whether that be simply from leasing, or there are
salivating on the revenue sharing aspect of it. A couple of these HAMs work
