No, I'm not taking over Petter's duties. I produce all these packages
for Sun internally-- I just don't mind sharing. I don't have access to
debian to upload packages.

Carol,
Sorry, I should have noted that I did testing before I checked it in.
We're good-to-go.

Hi John,
I saw that you submitted your patch over the weekend. Is your big
endian regression testing complete?
Thanks,

Hi John,
Thanks very much for being so helpful with the coordination of the 1.8.9
roll. IMHO, you've had your patch posted for several days now and I
haven't seen anyone (else) raise any concerns or objections to it. I
just have general concerns about making any code changes at all now that

Carol,
Thanks. I will try to take care of this today.
Regarding the LOG_DAEMON fix... I suspected selling that change might be
difficult. I think the right thing to do is probably to make it a
run-time configuration option, rather than change it in the source
code. I will write a patch and
Excellent -- thanks. I think there are many of us who are very anxious
to finally get 1.8.9 rolled up and out. :-)

Hi,
I am still trying to figure out what has changed. I am not able to
successfully transfer data when the retry-count and retry-interval is set to 0
Hi,
It looks like the regression testing on the 2/26 cvs tree has passed
successfully we're ready to roll to 1.8.9 with that code!! I'm afraid
to even breathe on the code now. :-} Would it be possible to wait
with (one or both of) these patches until we roll or is it really

Hi, I am doing my final testing with our Kontron ATCA blades and got new
strange behavior. Is there any change to SOL recently that may affect the
behavior? I am getting new problems after a short moment of sending bytes.
It's working for like 5 seconds and then, scrambled bytes?
Any idea?
Hi,
I've completed regression testing of the 2/26/07 cvs tree on several
different distros/kernels with no problems found. Does anyone else
have any last regression tests to run or can we roll the current cvs
tree to v1.8.9?
Thanks,
Carol Hebert
Hmmm, just checked out and tried to

What am I missing?
Answering myself: the src/plugins/free/ subdirectory which appeared only
a few days ago (and was not fetched by cvs update without -d
The only thing I see in relatively recent past is a one line change you
submitted four days ago... We are still using the Get Device ID for
keepalive, since it is a strategy that works on more BMCs, but it should
have been cleaned up, done a wireshark/ethereal capture with -C 0 to see
what's up?
Hi,
Folks, have you looked over the small patches John posted on 2/22?
The first one is a big endian fix and the second one is a change to
ipmievd to use LOG_DAEMON.
IMHO, these are very small patches but what with it being the 11th
hour on the 1.8.9 release, it might be good if Francois
