in WWKB's slop (could be local WASB's obnoxious spur). My usual experience
is that if anything is coming in, it's Spain, but not a peep from them.
Maybe there's an auroral donut hole of some
this in various places around Newfoundland for first Transatlantic
flights, radio transmissions, undersea cable, etc. So why not India?
1071 is not so hard now that CBA has gone to FM, and there's not a lot of
stuff on the air in Europe either.

When I logged the 1710 kHz Hudson NJ station on FEB 15 2012 I logged it as
WQFG689 and I see that others named it the same in posts around that time.
I am reviewing a Perseus recording from March 22 and I hear a very clear
WQMD689, Hudson County NJ ID
DXers in the northeast are a long way away,
so there is a lot less local interference to get in the way of the rare
stuff, and with beverages, longwires, phasing units it is possible to beat
them back completely.
