Essentially radio is quite boring, said Iain Meadows, presenter at Original
106 FM...
from the original article.
Personally (Colin talking now), I think we are raising a generation
of dunces that have no better idea of where Iraq or Iran is on a
I used to be subjected to hearing a tape delayed version of CNN Headline
News... at one radio station I worked for. That was our programming,
interlayed with traveler news, information and tips.. basiclaly a full power
TIS!
There is a radio station in Vancouver B.C.
that does nothing but
Ian McFarland talks about his work with the Duncan B.C. food bank -
where he volunteers 2 days a week.

I was glued to the TV set on February 9, 1964
as the beatles played the Ed Sullivan show...
as was half the population of North America.
The WHO were part of my life in the sixties...
as was The Stones, Van Morrison,
What will this tiny wonder do next??
Am I the only one that thinks the SRF-59
looks just like an original star-trek series phaser?
.which would explain why I am constantly stunned
by its performance...

Victoria,
Dang - I hate it when I miss sarcasm. My apologies. And yes, I was there in
front of the tube as well, and heard/saw them play the (get this) Indiana
State Fair - I think the following summer. Cheers aplenty.
I was not trying to be sarcastic -- I was trying to be drool...
and ended up
Tomorrow morning - December 7, 2007 - 1430 to 1500 UTC
on CBC On the Island - http://www.cbc.ca/ontheisland/ click on the stream
OR if you live in the Northwest - Washington or S.W. B.C. you
can catch it on 90.5 FM Victoria or one of many repeaters
It is Food Bank week on Vancouver Island and
Listened from 1345-1430 UT and conditions were not as good as yesterday. The
only audio or carriers heard was on the bottom part of the band. The only
audio that I heard was on 693, 747, 774 and 828 heard at local sunrise.
Reception in Victoria at 1530 seemed slightly better than
601 - 700 of 1001 matches
