It would appear at 1145pm mountain, 5 hours after my original check that
KUAZ 1550 is still on the air. now 6 hours after sign off time.

Probably not Venezuela since I believe they have a 30 minute offset TOH.

There are apparently a couple of Iranians on the
channel, Gary. Both broadcast Radio Iran, but
one of them only at certain times, and 1530UT
wasn't one of them according to MWList. It's
all pretty speculative based on wispy chimesfun to dream.

For what it's worth, there was a 720 reception in Hawaii two months ago that
the Finnish DXers suspected was from Iran, but nobody could

I agree the 11 pips have to be a mixture of stations. I've never heard 11
anywhere from anyone.
I wont speculate any further as there is no information to base it on.

With conditions like this, all that's left is to go over old recordings.
The morning of 24 December was pretty interesting
in that Iran on 1098 was heard here. Going over
the SDR recordings, there are ever so faint
traces of the R. Iran chimes also on 585 and 720 at 1530UT on 24 December.
It appears this 50KW Non directional Daytimer is still on. Heard with NPR
89.1 ID's during a local break between segments of "American Roots Radio"
with some discussion and playing of rockabilly, rock n roll and country
music. Sign off should be 545pm mountain.

Which is why if we got more than 2 days of sun in a row, I’d lower my FLAGS for

For now it’s all wind, rain, gale, torrent, repeat...

To call this morning dead would be an insult to any dearly departed. Judging
by NHK2's on line presence, they signed off some time after 1440UT this
morning, but the SDR recordings could tell me nothing further.

Re the 630 unknown item, the eleven pips suggests that one is R. Timisoara
Romania with 6 short pips. At a different hour, the remainder could be from
Antena Satelor which is scheduled off at the time. Antena 1 Portugal should
have 4 long and 1 short. BBC would be 5 short, 1 long.
