Starting with a SDR-IQ to get my feet wet in the SDR world and later
acquiring 2 Perseus and an Excalibur, I fully recommend the Perseus as the
choice for mw. I am not at one (to put it politely) with the Excalibur
software, I like the full spectrum screen presentation but it stops there.

Similar up here too. Lots of faint carriers around but 1098 was quite
strong. Also noted some fairly visible far off channel hets on 1358.969
and 1583.966, didn't see any obvious suspects in the offsets site.

This was my third and final day listening from Lamont on this trip, and the
only decent MW morning. Saturday had no TP audio, and yesterday brought
only HLAZ, so today was a welcome change. Definitely a tale of two bands,
much as Dennis described. Below 1000 khz I
I'm hearing (or rather seeing...) similar results on 1566 here, altho after
the flare there isn't any real sign of them tonight. The few times I've
checked, nothing on 576 - which is surprising to me if it indeed is part of
540 CBK.

last night 1566 was very wispy carrier showing at 0350 ut June 26 using the
700' AF 60 deg wire. June 25th was better - fade in 0336 to f/out 0523,
both well defined (only had the 30 deg 1100 wire that night). But still
very weak and below audibility for even hearing a het. I will check for

Not very exciting up this way, just some hets on the usual suspects on the
ToH recordings. Only hilite yet discovered was KINY Juneau 800 at 1500ut
with clear id under CHAB. After hearing KINY I went back and checked other
promising channels for Alaskans but nothing. For the last week or so
well, nada... from 2035 ut when I saw your note to present 2046 no trace
anywhere even with small RBW and the Eu or NEu ~1000' wire.

these, and trying to keep the calibration accurate - something I have lots
