In most cases it's not really a jaws issue so far as that goes. It has to do
with the authoring practices of the web designer who setup the page. I know
it is frustrating but often enough that is our lot in life. The main thing
is that you know the work around to employ.

Hi everyone,
I noticed that when I open an email in Microsoft outlook, JAWS doesn't, by
default, read the message. I have to hit insert+down arrow, and then JAWS
reads without any problem. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or not?
I'm using Office 2003.
Thanks,

Hi David,
Yes, it does look like I'm able to post and receive messages again. That's
great! Many thanks to the night moderator for helping with this!

You should be able to do an insert v to open the verboscity, then arrow down

This is often the case, so that, many times on Web pages, it is better to

On another list, I was asking about scripts for Skype. I've never downloaded
scripts before, so if this is obvious, that's why.
Anyway, do scripts load into the propper folder when they download, or do I
have to specify where I want them. And, where do I want to put them.
Thanks in advance.
Hey David,
I went to the end of the file and all I found is windows XP. I went in there
and I didn't find anything about outlook express. I went into the search and
find 52 outlook express with things like
outlook express 5-6
outlook express jss
outlook express rule wiz
outlook express 4
I think you need the scripts to go in the Jaws enu folder you are using.

The scripts for skype I have up on the site do actually install themselves

the first set of scripts. Obviously if you are using 3.0 or newer then
download the second set of scripts.

Try pasting the file name I already gave you in the run dialog box and see
if it brings up outlook express or not. If and I do believe it will you
could use it to create a desktop icon. For example on this system the
complete path is as follows:
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe
Try the hot key alt+shift+H.

What happens when you press the start button, then P for programs, then O

If my guess is right, Outlook Express does not have a sub-menu to it, so you

all the sub-menus.

Hi,
I know I am replying to myself. If you are not using Jaws 8.0, then if you
are using Jaws 7 or 7.1 or 8.0, then you can just substitute 8.0 in the
location (for example c:\documents and settings\your username\Application
data\Freedom Scientific\Jaws\7.0.)
