Hello Steven,
I'm also using the winrar corporate edition, but I don't think the
conversion is done with winrar itself.
Just extract the rar file with winrar and then, select the extracted
file and via the applications menu, use the send to, folder to
compress it to a zip file. It says something

Hi Everyone,
I am seriously looking at buying a new netbook with Windows 7 this fall. I want
to only run Jaws and Office 2007 Professional on this machine.
I am not concerned about a particular brand, I just want to know if anyone has
experienced Jaws on one of these small computers. If so,
I was wondering if there is a website that I could go to with helping me with
definitions for example, combo box vs a combo edit field, radio button vs a
button?

I seem to remember a tool built into HJPad. Open the Tools menu, open the
Sample dialogues submenu, then I think it's called tree view sample. This
shows you all the Windows elements, including controls, and once an item is
selected in the tree tabbing to the read only edit field will read the

They're not just JAWS terms. they're Windows terms. Now, choose Run
HJPad from the programs submenu, j for JAWS, and then arrow to your
JAWS version of choice (submenu), then up-arrow to Run HJPad and press
enter. Look in Tools there. .

Thanks.
Jaws terms, windows terms, I've always confused those two but lets see
what I can find with this set of instructions.

No need for confusion. The terms you asked about are terms that
everybody, including users of other or no screen readers, also use.

Hi,
Here is an easy test for that questionable escape key.
You can use JawsKeyboardHelp by pressing the keystroke Jawskey plus numrow1
and then press the escape key to find out its function.
Jaws will tell you what that key, and most other keystrokes is supposed to
do. and if you hear nothing the

Hi,
Here's a link from the Freedom Scientific web site describing controls which
have to do with the Internet, maybe it'll help a bit in other situations.

When I'm reading a book from Bookshare on my computer I have set Punctuation to
None. I don't want to hear it during dialog. However, I still hear exclaim,
for exclamation marks and Dot Dot Dot, when an ellipsis occurs to sho

I am using the latest Jaws professional with Word 7 on

Hi Kimsan,
The problem is probably that the link was split by your email program.
Copy it to the clipboard and paste it into Notepad and remove any carriage

Hi Victoria,
You will need to use the Configuration Manager for this as follows since the

You do this from within the application you wish to change punctuation for.
I don't know what program you are reading in but if (when you open
Hi Victoria and others,
I was completely wrong about the punctuation thinking that all meant it was

So are the exclaims surrounded by spaces or in some other way are they

It may make a difference
