It would seem that it isn't anybody trying to add me or ask for my
permission to add them because I tried it with my secondary account last
evening and the request for contacts did pop up up. So what ever it is
remains a mystery for now.

Wayne,
The link should open up an Internet page with 70 headers and
information using window media player 11 with jaws.
I copied the information from the web site and send it to you off the
list. Let me know if you receive it.

Can anyone provide info on some models to look for and which to avoid for
the above? I've heard some folks say to avoid multi-functions altogether
but others seem to think the combination works- so would very much
appreciate any direct experience or advice. Thanks.

Hi
If you mainly want to print with casual scanning of documents I would
highly recommend buying an all in one unit. Personally, I prefer HP but what
ever fits the user is the right one for them.
In my case I needed a high speed scanner. My system would only allow me
to have one
I have used both a stand alone and now use a multi-function unit. I have
always been a HP user with computers and peripherals but I use a Lex Mark
multi-function unit 5600 now and it works flawlessly.
When you get a multi-function unit it comes with several software programs
and I fine that
thanks, but after I sent that question I tried zipping the folder and was
able to send as an attachment.

Usually, Outlook Express doesn't like attaching folders, Rose. It will
accept the list of files and even keep them in the correct order but for
some odd reason, I haven't found a way to make it take an entire folder in
its entirety.
Maybe someone else out there has found the trick.

Well, to my chagrin, I discovered that AIM 7.1 does not work well with JAWS 9.
Apparently, JAWS 9 cannot read an incoming IM as in older versions of AIM. So
I reinstalled AIM 6.9, the last version that still works with JAWS 9. Has
anyone else experienced problems using AIM 7.1 with JAWS?
Thanks for replying. I will probably scan more often than print- and
occasionally (but not often) scan larger things like books. It sounds like
you are a heavy scanner and this is the reason you mentioned needing a high
speed scanner. So then, are the multis quite a bit slower than
Thanks for that Steve. If you don't mind saying, what advantages of the
Lexmark influenced you to choose this model for your last purchase?

Hi
If you are wanting a high speed scanner, I would suggest the HP 5000.
This scanner scans 25 pages a minute and scans bought sides of the page at
the same time. It costs between $700 and $800 US. The reason I have to use
such a machine is that I am scanning textbooks for my college classes.
The only way this will work is to zip the folder and then attach the zipped
file.

Hi Susie,
There is a Kurzweil list.
I don't have subscription info here, but you should get it at the
