I have read this approach by folks. Since most sound cards
are multi channel what are the advantages of this?

My information would state that no it could not be done in the manner you
suggest. It must be a dedicated sound card separate on it's own. Think about
it if you would for a six channel sound card you would need six sets of
speakers. Not very practical in my opinion.

Hi,
in addition to suggestions made by other listers, I think you can have a
look at Indie Volume here:
http://www.indievolume.com
I use it often when I have a number of sound-producing apps simultaneously
but without being distracted. You can configure different volumes and sound
outputs
Surround Sound!
Do you need another reason!

I know it has been a while since this message was sent however, my question
is do you have to have Skype installed prior to using the scripts? Or do you
install Skype then the scripts? Or does it matter the sequence?

People seem to have problems with Skype 4.2 but I am having no problems
personally. In fact I am testing the upcoming 5.0, and the interface
hasn't changed all that much, which is good.

I think for older JAWS versions you should stick with 3.8.

JAWS Users,

Skype I have. I believe the version I downloaded was version 4.2. I use JAWS

okay, go to dlee.org, then go to skype scripts, then in that go to jaws 10.
I think that's the right path. Let me know how it goes. As to skype watch,
never heard of it.

I am using the 5.0 also, and I like it much better than 4.2. It seems to be

JAWS Users,
I have now downloaded the scripts for Skype. I also installed these downloaded
files. Do these downloaded files automatically go where they need to go or do I
need to do something further? Thank you all for the help offered in locating
the Skype script files.
