If you are using XP, I cannot remember how it's done and I could give you

however, in windows 7 CTRL shift escape will bring up the task manager. Use

The keystroke for the Windows Task Manager in Windows XP, Vista and 7 is:

There are other ways to get there, but I thought I'd keep it simple.

I use JAWS 12 and Win 7. After JAWS says it is ready, it used to say Desktop

I use Win 7 and JAWS 12. I also use the free version of Super Antispyware.

programs. Of course, I always reply NO to its request. However, it wastes a

least I did not see it in the list on my machine. Suggestions if

Hi
If JAWS is running in the system tray, you need to be on the Processes tab
instead of the Applications tab in Task Manager. You can move from the
Applications tab to the processes tab by pressing control+tab. There are
many more items in the Processes tab than in the Applications tab.
Not that I'm aware of, it obviously is important if you are going to use
that program to keep it updated.
Having said that, I dumped it a couple weeks ago and only use malware bytes.
As a matter of fact, there was an article in Windows Secrets newsletter
about computer security. The author
I haven't had any problems using Super Anti Spyware with JAWS 9 and XP. It
detects tracking cookies that Malware Bytes misses.

Hello, Steve,
This is asking me in essence to purchase the program. It is always
updated by me personally. I use the free version and it serves me well. I
need to get rid of this alert message from the company, always asking me to
purchase it, in other words. Is this possible is all I ask???
Maria, perhaps I am confused with the semantics which is altogether
possible. I get the updates every other day or so. I do this religiously.
Now what am I not doing that I should be doing with this free version??? I
do not wish to purchase this program right now.
Thanks for your time.
Negoslav,
Thanks. Got it. I usually use the virtual ribbons but, with virtual
ribbons turned on, I could not tab to the link to previous button to
unpress it. I had to turn virtual ribbons off and then I could get to it.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Liuda, when you get that message, turn on the jaws cursor and see what's

The message asking him to update is what he's trying to stop from popping
up. I don't think it can be done any other way than to buy the paid
version.

I don't think so. I solved that problem by getting the paid professional
version. You can put it onto 2 computers, and there is no fee to ever
upgrade. It is a one time license charge. Well worth the price. HTH.

Hi Donnie Kimsan,
Just to add a keystroke to the 1 SeƱor Justice spoke of, in XP for sure, the
keystroke, Alt, Control, + Delete, will also open the task manager. I don't
have access to my Win7 computer at the moment to check this keystroke on
that system. HTH
Take care.

Yes, Mike.
That was the keystroke that I thought of in my reply to Donnie but I wasn't
sure if that would work on windows 7 and thought that was only in XP and I
did not want to be responcible for anything wrong if that keystroke was
going to mess anything up, if he were using windows 7.
Rick:
Thanks much. Again, I wasn't sure if CTRL shift escaped worked in Windows
7...
I'm sure Donnie is taken care of now.

The paid version works with jaws 8 or lower, but not sure how low. I've
used it since jaws 7. You get tech support and no popup ads. And you only
pay one time for lifetime support and upgrades.
