Turns out it took 587 for the outgoing, but the real rub went like this. System 1 using windows mail required no extra authorization whereas system 2 using windows live mail required authorization on the server tab. I have no idea as to why but the facts speak for themselves. David Ferrin

Well if you are using windows seven and you need to know which windows seven you have you can type system information in the search box and hit enter. The first thing that comes up is system summary. You can tab down once and it will tell you which windows seven you have. For example mine says
