Hey there, Mike. I want to thank you for answering my question. And I want to
thank you for all of the answers you give to the other questions you answer on
this list. I follow many of your answers and they help me understand what
otherwise, for me, would be puzzles without a solution. LeDon.
I've had the same problem with JAWS14 and IE10 as well as JAWS16 and IE11.
I'm guessing that it has to do with a setting in how JAWS captures info from
a webpage when you are copying. Hopefully someone else can provide accurate
information about this.

Hello Annette and all,I have found that when this occurs, go into the verbosity
(insert-V) and locate the virtual cursor category. Change the setting from copy
from on-screen highlight to copy from virtual cursor. Change this back when it

Hello folks:
I've just noticed something very strange.
I was on this site reading about chris brown and I attempted to copy and
paste information from the site over to word 2013.
However, when doing so, instead of the line I selected, the entire page was
selected after pasting it.

That did not work. I just tried selecting the same block of text, and after

Try going to the JAWS download section of the Freedom Scientific web page,
and under the portable versions, download and install the video intercept
for the 32 or 64 bit version of JAWS, which ever one you are using. This
should work. If not, then try reinstalling the entire program again after

Kimsan,
If you are selecting the line that you want to copy by holding down the

Hi Kimsan,
After you switched to copy from virtual cursor, did you close restart IE?
If not, that might be why it's working now, that is, if you closed IE last
night reopened it today found it working.
Take care.

Tom,
I believe I am right in saying that different browsers recognize links in
different ways, so some links that IE picks up may not
be the same in Chrome, and vice versa. It all depends on how the
accessibility is set up when the web page is written. I notice this, for

Good answer LeDon,
You can paste into notepad, then copy the portion that you want out and
paste it into a word document as desired. Notepad takes all of the
formatting out of the copied text, and leaves it as each word as a stand

Try pasting into note pad. That is a text editor and may not record
