Hi David,
This is David Moore. I sure took a trip down memory lane as well. When I was
going to The Ohio State University in the 80's, I took a summer job and
within a week, all of the supervisors came to me to ask me DOS commands. It
got to the point where I sat beside some of the managers

Hi,
Even if the laptop does not have a numb pad, I would tell your friend to
have a sighted person look at it, because I have bought laptops that had an
insert key in the most unlikely places. I even had a laptop where you had to
hold down the FN key and press another key to get the insert. I

Are there any accessible application to change one key on the keyboard to
other? My friend have a laptop which does not has the Insert key. Now he wants
to use something like the right Alt key for that one.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I believe that QuickTime on the Macintosh can do this, I have no idea if the

Hello Humberto
Under devices it indicates the "playback" is going to my speakers. There
wasn't specifically an "input" or "out put" indicator.
Thus I was wondering if I needed to buy like a second sound card, (external)
for play back purposes.
thanks!

Good one, Humberto.
Lawrence, depending on the version of GoldWave you are now using, there are
also output options you might want to look at.
In addition, I suggest that you go to Control Panel and look for the Sounds
entry. However, if your system is playing other sound based files and

Most if not all of these commands can be found by typing help in the cmd
console. Also, if you type help followed by a command for example 'help color',
it will provide more details.

Hi John,
I am getting all normal sounds from my computer.
Using Gold wave 6.1 and there are no "output" indicators. At least I didn't
find "output" under "devices."
When I performed the "playback tests" and "record test" the software
feedback was successful.

When using Jaws Help, Insert + 1, is there any way to copy the message Jaws

This is an incredibly frustrating problem. You can type in your own custom

Try pressing F11 and going to the "Devices" section to choose the input and

What I found out if you are using a headset when you have gold wave open you
have to listen through it, but if you want to listen to it through your
speakers you have to reopen gold wave.
It crashes on me too, when I try to unplug the headsets, and listen through
the speakers.
So do all your work
