Jaws does show Outlook Express scripts, but several functions don't work in
the new version such as the shortcuts for alt-1 thru alt-6. I had to
re-label the graphic 589 to unread and 139 to read.
I haven't figured out how to get the shortcuts back.

Jaws 18 works fine with Thunderbird but if you have only the early
versions of jaws to make it read your messages in the in box or other
boxes you have to switch the list view to a tree view to do this go into
the view menu and arrow down to sort by and press enter then arrow down

Hi.
Cool! I'm sending this message with OE on windows 10! Pretty nifty. I don't
know if I'll keep using it or not, google makes it sound pretty insecure, I
had to checka box allowing less secure apps before OE would work and they
don't recommend that of course.
That said, does anybody have a
JAWS works fine for me on all versions of Thunderbird. There's a
catch, though. JAWS 18 is the only version which will read the in box.
Earlier versions of JAWS won't read the in box. Google any questions
you have about Thunderbird and an answer will likely pop up from the

I have also done that annually when a new JAWS comes out. If you have the
original Scripts exe program it is easy. The question is whether things in
the program the scripts apply to has changed significantly.

There's probably not a huge difference between scripts written/compiled for

right. I was using Jaws 11 or 12 until fairly recently on an XP machine, and
some of the newer scripts, for Goldwave for instance, wouldn't do

I tend to agree. I've made a decision myself to stay away from HP from

yes, it can be done although, you may need to recompile the scripts
once installed with the script manager.

Hi Randy,
That would be really cool if you could take the scripts from an older
version of Jaws & put them into a newer version of Jaws, but I don't know if
that can be done, or how to do that.
