[JAWS-Users] Apologies

2010-10-15 Thread chris hallsworth
I just want to apologize for the apparent confusion I caused on this
list last night. I was expecting you all to know that JAWS 12 is still
in beta, therefore I didn't remind you of such until now.

[JAWS-Users] Windows Live

2010-10-15 Thread Graham Smith

Hi

the latest version of windows live mail and messinger are certainly not
working well at all. Obviously nothing has been done with this latest
version of 15.4, I did report this before this latest relaease of the beta
but noghing has changed.

Although I am having a little success with windows live, windows seven 64
bit it is still not good and i wish I had stayed with the old version but
when you see messages from FS advising to upddate to this version to solve
issues you tend to think this is the thing to do.

I know thisw is hard to keep on top off and I wont use anything other than
jaws, but heck this gets dam frustrating why can they not get this program
to work even the old version of windows live is not correct.

So like others I am having the same problems in Messinger and in Mail
contacts are not viewable could not tell you if they are on the screen but
my auto fill works when compiling a message. Also I get in a situation
where deleting messages just does not delete them, far more things as well I
wont carry on because this has obviously not been looked at by FS yet and
this is only a beta.

Would like to know if anyone is having more success than me with this latest
version of windows live.

Graham

To remove flash you have to go to adobe web site and get there remover.
The I button is install and Q button is quit. If you have any

without knowing it.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Help Viewing HTML emails within Outlook 2010

2010-10-15 Thread Mike O'Brien
In outlook 2010 the keystrokes for viewing HTML e-mails in your browser are
Alt+h followed by a for actions followed by v for view in browser. But
depending on your version of JAWS, this does not always work. You can tab
through the ribbon until you get to the actions button dropdown, press space
to open it and arrow down to the view in browser button and press space and
enter, or once in the actions button dropdown, just press v. If you're
using JAWS 12 beta, with the virtual ribbons, you can press Alt+h then arrow
down into the lower ribbon until you reach the move group, right arrow once
and then arrow down the the actions button, open it and press v. However in
the latest 492 build of the JAWS 12 beta, the virtual ribbons don't appear
to be working the same as they did in the previous builds.

David: I really don't know what the cost is, it's available through our
Enterprise package. It's necessary to have your phone system using VOIp.
The primary reason I had it installed is that you only need to use one
headset to both use the telephone and work with JAWS in other applications,
and you can do that simultaneously. Incidentally, I found a Cos single

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Cisco I P Commmunicator

All: I recently installed Cisco IP Communicator on my laptop. This program
essentially allows either onsite or offsite users to treat their laptop as an
internet telephone. At present, I can make outgoing calls, but because the
main screen consists solely of numbered graphics, I cannot answer calls, put
them on hold, or perform any other function. I've not looked at the script
repository in a couple months, but don't recall their being a script there
for this particular program. Is anyone using this program and have they come
up with any work-arounds?
I have a user's guide, which is 103 pages with 880 some links. I'll probably
read pieces of it, but based on my past experience, I doubt they're going to
say much about basic functions except to identify them through screen shots.
Any help will be appreciated.

David: I really don't know what the cost is, it's available through our
Enterprise package. It's necessary to have your phone system using VOIp.
The primary reason I had it installed is that you only need to use one
headset to both use the telephone and work with JAWS in other applications,
and you can do that simultaneously. Incidentally, I found a Cos single
stereo earpiece and boom microphone online for something like $16, so if
anybody's in need of something like that, let me know.

it's a proprietary app i'm guessing, for use with cisco IP phone systems.
I'm doing my CCNA certification at the moment, and IP phone systems have

as the curriculum concentrates on networking in general, setting up

Re: [JAWS-Users] Centering text and JAWS

2010-10-15 Thread Flor Lynch
It gets more complicated still when you include font size, and
non-proportionate fonts, which are standard, making such points less
relevant. It'll all come out fine in the printout - or, visually, the
Print Preview.

So, for a verbal or surface understanding, let's use a typewriter and
insert a sheet of A4 paper where a full line might be 60 or 65
characters in width (depending on margin settings, particularly the
right margin), and subtract the number of characters in the centred text
from 65 and then divide the remainder by two, allowing for one more
space to the right if the centred text has an odd or even number of
characters - depending on what the margin settings are. thus, where the
right margin was half-an-inch (5 spaces), the left margin 1 inch (10
spaces), you have 65 spaces (or 6.5 inches) width to play with on an A4
standard sheet of paper. If the centred text is 20 characters, it will
start from a position 22 spaces in from the left margin. (this is how we
used to do things.)

Just as a blank line in a document is not a line filled with blanks,
centered text is not blanks plus text plus blanks. A line space
indicator is a single character, and a centering indicator is
likewise a single character. Thus Column 1 tells you only that you
are on the first column of text, not your position in the actual line.

Stinks, doesn't it?

When logged into the router, there should be a combo box or similar control
in the wireless section for the channel. I think the possible values are 1
