Re: [JAWS-Users] Controlling how alt+tab works
An inelegant solution is to alt/tab to the first window you want and allfocus to fall on that window. Then alt/tab to the other window you want to toggle between without focusing on the interim windows. Allow focus to fall on the second window.. This essentially creates this pairing as the last two windows you opened and will be the first two to come up when alt/tab-ing. You have to focus on the window in order to not continue in the chain of open windows. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Greg Washington Sent: Saturday, October 27, 2012 3:19 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Controlling how alt+tab works Mike and others, Thanks for responding to my query re controlling alt+tab key. Re: [JAWS-Users] Controlling how alt+tab works
I asked about alt-tab on a win 7 box a while ago as well. My experience on my win 7 box seems to be different than others. If I have three windows open, a, b, and c, I would expect to always alt-tab between the two windows I have most recently been working in, however, I have found that occasionally, I will alt-tab and instead of being in the window I was expecting, I end up in another window. It seems to me that it is the JAWS window that I almost always end up in rather than the window I was expecting. -- Blue skies. It used to show scanning whenever a scan was in progress. Is this happening to others? If not, how can I get scanning to show in the system tray when a scan is in progress? Running XP, IE8, OE, J13. All advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, take care. Mike This email was sent from my, iBarstool. While in word, press Insert + V, for Jaws options. 2. Arrow In the search box type, indentation or arrow down a few times to get passed the search box, press the letter, I, until you land on, Indentation. 3. Jaws will announce either, Indentation ignore or, Indentation indicate. Pressing the spacebar will toggle between these 2 choices. Once you have it set on, Indentation, indicate, press enter to save your changes close Jaws options. There are other settings for indentation settings in Word but, I am not familiar enough with them to tell you how to go about setting them. Take care. Using JAWS 11 on a Windows Vista 32 bit system, I have JAWS set up to verbally indicate italicized and emphasized words. Is there a setting to indicate if a sentence is indented, as in the beginning of a paragraph? Or is it in the same setting? I have JAWS set up in Classic (Attributes and Fonts). Thanks. [JAWS-Users] Windows 8 JAWS questions
Hi all, I have JAWS 14 Pro and just got Windows 8 Pro. I don't want to and have a few questions. Are there any Windows 8 users here? If so, do you use the Windows mail program built in to it? Thanks and sorry if this topic's been covered. I've been away for a bit. Lisa For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
