Gene, I been following this tread, First you were in the Subject:
[JAWS-Users] user account settings in windows 10
And I said, I was there today in the user accounts and it was fine.

And you are the only one that tabbing twice to get to the Yes button doesn't
work.

Wel, there is no save button in the window I am talking about. It's got
nothing to do with saving files. It's the window to allow a program to make
changes to your system. For example, if you go to the Jaws help menu and
choose check for updates, you hear the alert sound, and then you are
supposed to let the system know it's okay to proceed. It's that window with
the yes, no, and cancel that I can't access.

All good info, but I used to be able to actually read this window. Now the

built-in OCR. I can use the various keystrokes, or some of them, that
everyone has mentioned. But Jaws doesn't read the controls as I tab in this

Re: [JAWS-Users] user account settings in windows 10

2016-12-07 Thread Mr. Ed
Hi,
I would do a repair on Jaws and see if that correct the issue. If you do a
repair and you can read the information then problem solved. If Jaws does have
a problem with reading this box you might have other issues you do not so what
Jaws might not be reading. So this is why I recommend you do a Jaws repair and
see if it reads the box in question after the repair.

Re: [JAWS-Users] user account settings in windows 10

2016-12-06 Thread Reed
Hey Guys!

Gene is saying that she can no longer read the window. She doesn't
necessarily want to just hit yes or no. I haven't seen one of these windows
for a while so I don't know if my JAWS 18 with Windows 10 will read it. So,
the question, which nobody is answering, is "can you read the window using
JAWS 18 and Windows 10?"

Jeane, to access the user control, I use alt key plus letter n as in nancy.
then I can tab through the control.

All good info, but I used to be able to actually read this window. Now the
whole window is blank so far as Jaws is concerned. I can read it with the
built-in OCR. I can use the various keystrokes, or some of them, that everyone
has mentioned. But Jaws doesn't read the controls as I tab in this window.
Just wondering why.

Hello Jean I wonder if there is something going on with jaws, have you tried
doing a repair of jaws? I don't have this problem and I am running the

latest build of jaws on windows 10 with the latest updates installed.

When you encounter the window that ask you if you want to let this program
make changes usually you can press the tab key twice and you will land on
the yes butten then press the space bar and you should be good to go.
