Re: [JAWS-Users] word docx to notepad txt
What about pressing F12 to save as? I'm not sure which version of Word you are using. But in most cases, there is a "Save As" option under the File menu. When you press that option, it gives you a list of choices, one of which is a .txt format. You will probably be warned about losing some of the configuration details, but the text will be saved. In word 10, I save as and tab down to save as type and select .txt plain text. Then a conversion box comes up and I just tab to OK button and all the text is saved and no word formatting. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt Sent: Thursday, November 23, 2017 5:07 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] word docx to notepad txt I agree. When your Word document is open in Word, initiate a "Save As" and then you can tab to a list called "Save as type." There you can choose file types like .txt, .rtf, etc. HTH, Jeff At 07:54 PM 11/22/2017, you wrote: whatâs the easiest way to convert a word doc to notepad without copying the text from the word doc then pasting it into notepad? Re: [JAWS-Users] word docx to notepad txt
Hi Kevin, This is how I would do it using Word 2010, so Try the following: 1. With the .DOCX file open press, Alt + F, then press the letter, A, to open the, Save As, dialogue. Note: If you want to change the name of the file, after invoking the above keystrokes you're in an edit field, so you can change the name of the file here. 2. Tab 1 time to the Save As Type combobox, navigate to, Plain Text.txt, by arrowing or 1st letter navigation. 3. Press enter on, Plain Text.txt, tab through some other options to the, Okay, button & press enter. Note: After you've highlighted the Plain Text option instead of pressing enter you can tab through some other options to the,Save, button if you would like to explore the other options in this dialogue, then after selecting the, Save button, then tab to the, Okay button, & press enter. Take care. Mike. Dodgers, try again next year! Sent from my iBarstool. Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement.
