is how to know that you want to disable this interface? You can disable
interface polling and host polling manually inside host admin section, click on

You still need to create the interface type field for that RRD dataset.
And your poller name (Disk_Queue) should be the same name as the rrd field in
the interface type fields for your interface type.

Yes, it is possible.
Click on "View Host Interfaces" for the host in question. For the interface
that you are interested in, click on Edit and scroll to the far right. You will
see the heading "Polling Interval"

You may want to check which Bandwidth is configured on the interface, I know

You should use the trap_receivers to setup a handler for your specific trap.
There's a complete GUI for it in the Internal Configurations menu.
Trap_receiver is generic to support any plugin.
What you are seeing in the events screen is just the default receiver for traps.

Andrés,
You will need to forward port 161/udp for SNMP.
You could use port 10161 to box1 and 20161 to box2
On the host screen you just put the IP of your NAT box and : Port like:
NAT_IP:FORWARDED_PORT ie: 200.1.1.1:10161
But that will just work for SNMP (CPU, Memory, Disks, network cards, etc

Hi Tim,
If you did all that, and everything was correct, and its still not working, then
the next troubleshooting step is to 'su' to the jffnms user and run the poller

Hi Doug,
I've successfully monitored 150 devices on a single P4 3ghz. (HT is better)
You can grow to a lot more than 250 hosts if you put the DB in another server.
The load will depend on the number of theads you run and the number of
interfaces per host, I've seen around 40 with 200 hosts.
Yes, JFFNMS now uses a piped (managed) rrdtool, and we use proc_open to do
that.
So you will need PHP > 4.3.0 to get this faster rrdtool method.
But since some people won't need it, I now have added a check for the proc_open
and disabled the new method, so people don't have to upgrade.

It was meant as a trending tool, to analize patters like errors.
So, you can modify RRD_analizer to use less measures (data points) using the

So, RRDTOOL does that conversion, because it will store the Deltas of the

So if you read 1000 the first time, and 1025 the next time, RRDTool will store
