This is the closest match I could find to the problem I'm experiencing.
Every Kernel update above 5.4.0-59-generic on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS on this
Thinkpad T580 docked on the Thinkpad Ultra Docking Station causes the
computer to freeze up either just before the login screen, on the login
screen or
I tried "bluetoothctl". That's a neat tool that I didn't know about, but
I couldn't find a command that would let me send stuff from my phone
without interaction. I installed bt-obex and tried "bt-obex -s", which
allowed file transfer but I still had to acknowledge each one.

Same issue here on a Thinkoad P70, as a workaround I keep switching airplane
mode on & off until the Wifi adapter gets detected again. Using bluetooth on
this laptop is a bit erratic too
(have to switch on & off multiple times). I've got the impression that it might
be caused by some USB issue

this bug at first because I got a slightly different error message

Yes, I agree this does look like a duplicate of Bug #1910555. I'm not
sure why I didn't see that one when I was looking for bugs that
corresponded to my problem.
Anyway, this solution worked for me:
1. Manually download the bcmwl-kernel-source package from this page:

The 460 driver package was installed with the latest updates and I've
rebooted.
For me, at least, it's working perfectly again.
And I made a mistake on my machine type: it's a ThinkPad P73.

Not me. I'm using Ubuntu 20.04. Until it's made available by the
software update mechanisms I won't touch it.
But "brightness regressions"? We're talking about basic control. How
does passing regression tests helps this issue? Or did people ignore
regression tests before releasing the 450 series?
Same issue on Lenovo ThinkPat P76. Brightness control was working
before.

I think I am also affected by this issue. Can I do any support/testing to find

My Blu-ray burner is not detecting Blu-ray discs any more. And only Blu-ray
discs (tried several) are affected, DVD for example works fine.
