so, any tips for measuring distance in PCBNEW ?
I tried to make an auxilliary axis in order to place my (0,0) to a corner of my
pcb, but it is only used for drilling etc..
any ideas ?

specify that.
I route by hand so in Kicad, I specify it in DRC Control dialog (PCB Design
Rules Check)

I looked for that ... I didn't find anything in kicad.. only the drc
test...
but I don't find the rules... and how I could change and tweak them

if you intend to autoroute boards.

hello,
I'm using freerouting.net to autoroute my pcbs for the protodeck project I

at the beginning, I created my modules but I did a mistake:
I put pads for leds, for switchs and for headers on the two side!
But I only want to solder on one side (bottom side for leds + switches

it will help, one day :)

On one side, the pad size could be almost zero but the hole is still there
and needs to be accounted for when routing.
Otherwise it is a surface mount part and the router does what it did for
you the first time.

I guess it is ok too :)

I found another way (but it is a tip...)
I create zone around holes
I fill them

it works..
But I guess your advice is THE solution, not my tip...

hi,
I would want to autoroute my pcb.
I tested native autorouter... on several pcb, it began to autoroute and
finished . on some other, it didn't start and just displayed the whole unrouted
wires.
so, I tested freerouting.net
it works everytime and it is pretty good!
BUT, how to use the result

Hello,
I'm working on a big project: the protodeck midibox based controller.
All will be shared here: http://www.julienbayle.net/diy/protodeck/ and for the
