Joe, I can't tell you the length, cause I never measured it. But I can tell you that a KR with 5 X 5 mains, conventional gear, really loves grass. Certainly conventional gear is better for any uneven surface. I landed on grass with both VW 2180 and Corvair 2700 and never had a problem with it.
