I used the Rotec on my VW 2180 with a fuel pump and a pressure regulator. ?The Revmaster carb never worked for me. ?Too many problems. The Rotec worked for about 50 hours without any major problems once I got it dialed in. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I see this comment a lot. Is there a way KR builders reduce that pitch sensitivity by bringing the cable attach points on the stick 30% closer together or something? > > My first landing ended up with a bent nose gear. My second takeoff had PIO > that was very uncomfortable.

thanks Dave. I think my KR willnot have an alternator. and on Ken Rand's original if the cutaway drawing is correct, the starter is above the "shelf" on the firewall. I may be good here to have the short nose! > Date: Wed, 4 Feb 2015 22:47:58 -0800 > From: dave.a.krnet at gmail.com > You lose

Correction. Duh I just realized that's his belt driven magneto. I will research the options to have a starter and a magneto and have the engine against the firewall if possible. From: chrisprata at live.com To: dave.a.krnet at gmail.com; krnet at list.krnet.org Subject: RE: KR> VW mount

My tailwheel instructor was very good. He had me make fast taxi runs up and down the runway in his Citabria until the tailwheel rudder dance clicked with me before we did takeoffs and landings. He knew what RPM gave us the correct speed to get the tailwheel up, but to not go fast enough to take

Surprised nobody answered these yet. 1. Yes. You need to move the landing gear brackets from the rear of the spar to the front. Glass work is not that bad to repair the holes. 2. Yes. Epoxy will dry faster when it is warmer, but you can use it cold. A heat gun to thin it out on the glass
