All this chatter on tape makes me want to chime in with silicone self sealing tape. No residue, no paint removal. I use it mostly for vacuum bagging - but I imagine it could make a good parked canopy seal. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B4WLKT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=

I have worked in construction and painting planes and houses. My advice is never to use electrical tape or duct tape, because both leave a colored residue if they get heated up by the sun. The blue painter's masking tape works well, but you can get by with good quality 3M regular masking tape.

Consider gaffer's tape. It's a high quality tape made to stick well, but remove without a trace. Looks like duct tape, but much higher quality with different stickum. Designed for video productions to cover wires on walls and carpet. It ain't cheap, like $30 to $50/roll, but comes in a variety

I had an upholstery shop make a custom cover that covers the canopy area and has straps to buckle it around the fuse. It has a soft lining. Its worth the money to protect your time effort and expense. Jeff York On Sat, Jul 14, 2018, 11:09 PM Mike Sylvester via KRnet < krnet@list.krnet.org> wrote:

Mike. I always kept a roll of 3M white electrical tape in the plane to seal gaps to keep water out. Don’t buy the cheap tape. Buy the 3M 35+ type. Mark Jones Oldsmar, Fl www.flykr2s.com flyk...@gmail.com Sent from my iPhone 7 > On Jul 14, 2018, at 11:08 PM, Mike Sylvester via KRnet > wrote:
