My kcontrol/display also fails to load the module now. I have an nvidia config
that I have setup with the binary driver and an external TV-out config. It
loaded fine before my changes, but wouldn't let me setup a TVout external
monitor. Everything works fine, so the config is valid.

I tried adding cdfss to the entry for /dev/hdc in my fstab and my CD
drive does now in fact show up in Kaffeine's drop down list. I can now

As a data point, my laptop (a dell 700m) worked fine with windows XP.
I'm also having a problem where closing the lid sometimes doesn't

I was right above, that my CUPS+SAMBA system bug wasn't related to this
bug. I couldn't get the HP LJ 1320 thru SMB (on a windows machine)
working either, but after an upgrade both work. I guess it was a CUPS

I'm using Kubuntu Dapper. In konqueror, I go to system:/media/disk_c/music
and I then open mymusic.ogg (click on the file)... The file then open in amarok
but it can be played.
If I open the file from media:/disk_c/music/mymusic.ogg it's well played
in amarok. Amarok 1.3.9

I'm experimenting with numerous Firefox distributions at this time.

I've also ran into this problem and find it annoying. My problem has
mostly been when using the document list in kate. If I leave the mouse
over it and start working on something, it often switches to some other
file that the mouse was hovering over.
This will probably have to be fixed

Active devices are now listed for me, tested on two dapper systems. I
still think inactive devices should be listed as well, though the KDE
people seem to disagree, see the upstream bug kde-bugs #122257.

I was previously using amd64 when I had this problem, but am now using
i386 and don't. Also, according to kde bug #125263, this is likely an
amd64 problem. Is anyone else still having this problem and are you
running amd64?

I did:
apt-get --purge remove amarok amarok-arts amarok-engines amarok-xine
apt-get install amarok amarok-arts amarok-engines amarok-xine
Against yesterday's Dapper repository, and still got a lockup.
I see that a bunch of KDE libraries have been updated in Dapper since
yesterday, so
I should add that the lockups/crashes also happen using the amarok-arts
engine, for me.
