There was also a stunning woven girdle, which I didnât feel appropriate to

Susan Hottle had the brilliant idea of a “Central Repository of Errata” for
lace books. This would be so helpful to all of us. It would be a great way
for authors to communicate with their readers - and for lacemakers who had
it is magical and I found
some good choices in DK. Not so sure that I like the softer colours in the
heavier weights. Beautiful and peaceful for blankets etc, but not so great
when wanting to make colourful, joyful christmas pieces.

The Sulky blendables are very nice threads for lacemaking. It produces quite
soft, matte lace. Periwinkles would look nice on cream, for a subtle contrast
or yellows/ oranges if you really want to make it stand out!

Hi Sue,
I was reading your long email about your trials
this.
Sue T Dorset
For the past two years, I have been working only wedding lace.
I have had my youngest daughterâs âall or nothingâ lace veil on the
pillow, after about two other years of planning strategy and drawing the
pattern. This was to be a 1.15 metre diameter circular piece worked
the top of the
wardrobe and there it was still attached to the pillow all this time, waiting
for me to begin our own, which was meant to be December 2016.
So now over to you, what lace projects are some of you about to tackle which
you are looking forward to?

I don’t think it’s that a needle eye is ‘designed’ to be threaded
from
one side; rather it’s just that the way needles are made. The hole for

Well said, Susan!. Thanks for putting all that into words. I cannot work
out what has really happened here - nor do I really want to - so hope that
your words will bring peace and reconciliation

Yes they do appear in the archive, but if I don't receive the original
message from Jeri I don't know one has been sent, so I don't know to go to
the archive to look for it! When someone replies to Jeri online, then I
know to go to the archives. A frustrating necessity!

(even if you only used it to subscribe to Arachne!) We'd
certainly like to see both your posts

I occasionally dream a bit more about what I might do - but events keep
happening that make me too busy to get started
