Hi, all the lace you see on my stall and web site have the knots glued with
fray check. I have been doing it for 28 years with no discolouration.
Though I was told years ago that USA Fray check id slightly different from the
UK one. I don't know. I do know it is fine. However. Do not use the
Years ago I went away taking my lace with me. I then realised I was short
of about 10 bobbin. My husband thought of using the Dolly pegs which were
under the sink where we were staying. They of course already have a head to
hitch your thread to. Worked a treat. Vivienne

Hi, I'm sorry to say that Iain and I won't be at Pudsey after all. Iain had
an operation on Thursday, not serious but necessary, anyway everything
went pear shape and he is not in any condition to drive from Kent and to do a
show. We are sorry. Any of the people who were going to collect thin
Sally was a really lovely, funky girl. I loved her hats and her clothes.

I have tried to keep out of this as we used to be bobbin makers but however
we are not now. You should not need any thing to help you keep normal

Hi all, I would like your views. Though I am a supplier this is not
promoting any thing I sell but I think Lace makers need to express an opinion
on.

Hi, when we were at Tonbridge I came across a, I don't know if it is a CD

like a video. It shows you how to make, I think it has 7 different
Christmas items. You print off the patterns and get visual help to do them. I

Hi all, I just had a phone call from a branch of Staples asking my
permission to photo copy one of my table cloth patterns. I thought it was very
good of them. I gave permission for one copy. Good on Staples. Vivienne,

Our lovely turner, Derek, died in the hospice last week. We are at his
funeral Friday 2nd. He made great bobbins for Biggins, bobbin trees, bobbin
holders and our wonderful pin boxes. I will miss my friend greatly.

Hi, I thought many of you would like to know our turner Derek, who has been

Hi, I have used fray check for 18 years and have never found it washed out.
Perhaps you wash garments more than I would wash lace mats and such.

Hi, it all depends on the Rayon you use. I don't know about polyester as I
have never tried i, but I would think again quality is what counts. I use
our Rayon in most os the patterns we bring out. It does not srink when you
take the pins out. It does not spin off your bobbins & it can even wa

Hi all, I think someone should point out Rayon is not a synthetic thread,
like Nylon, but a man made thread made from trees. As many of you know I use
the Rayon in many of my patterns, usually as Brenda say, as the workers.
If you get a spool of some Rayon's and Nylons and lay it down if will

Hi all I find it very puzzling. We all know the groups that have 5 to 10

where. Anyway people kept coming to the door and waving to us!
