I know Karen has come from Nebraska ( I think ) to South Carolina twice to
teach tatting at the huge Palmetto Tatting Event on her Motorcycle. I do have a
picture of her with her motorcycle that I took. She has also designed a tatted
motorcycle that looks just like a motorcycle.

In Sunday's Express there was a really good article about Florence
Nightingale who was a British nurse in the Crimean war. Born in 1820 to
rich parents she defied them and trained as a nurse and went to the Crimean.
The picture of her showed her wearing rather a lot of lace some I recognise

I saw her being spoken about after her return from the war and they
mentioned how she hated the celebrity status she was given and went off to
live with family keeping out of sight a lot when photos were taken and being
there in amongst some of the family ones.
