When I design a piece, I look at what I want to do with it, who will
see/receive/use it and what elements I want to use...then play!!
When I
look at making something new, the same questions apply, for example my current
piece is to be worn on a shirt/skirt outfit with a butterfly
I was looking for very simple patterns to make tatted snowflakes
for my newest students - 2 American girls who are living in Tartu.
In Lindsay Rogers book Tatting Collage I found 2 patterns - one
that has just rings one with trefoils and a chain between them.

Alex, Does this apply to all pinchains? I have just seen PCs demonstrated in
Jean Leader's Interm. Bucks video and she didn not mention or show passing the
gimp during the PC. The ones in the video did only use 2 pins (a short span)
and passing the gimp would have pulled the gimp out of shape in

I tried to post a comment on your photo site but it told me my email address

that I too would have liked to see the lady doing the ground on the fan as it
was so uniform in size. It almost looked machined made.
