Sorry, Noelene, I think you've been out of Sydney too long!! These days,

I was in the express lane at the store quietly fuming. Completely
ignoring the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out
line pushing a cart piled high with groceries. Imagine my delight when

All black office workers in Sydney? Makes sense in the climate?
Sorry Joy, doesn't make sense to me.
Wearing a black shirt and black pants instead of a suit and tie makes a

Gentle Spiders,
For once, I am cross-posting to lace and chat, even if it's a no-no;
hopefully, I'll be forgiven, in the proper Chrismas spirit :)
I took an hour's break from the stove and the oven (not everyone can

Yes, it IS somewhat illogical - especially as it's often the first
snow of the season, or close to it, and the drivers in Michigan have
forgotten in the last few months that they ever knew how to drive on
snow and ice. But I still love it. Southern Michigan is no where near

Christmas in Florida is a real treat! We dont see much snow, but it
did snow here about 20 years ago! Even so, we hope every year we will
get to see some. People start putting lights on their houses in
November. We love driving around and looking at the lights, especially

For the past 20 years I haven't celebrated Christmas - not since I left home
