Not to be rude - but that's bull. SQLdb works. It may have a few issues but
so does Zeos.
John
the problem is not in SQLdb, but in FPC itself?

Unfortnately, Lazarus+PostgreSQL doesn't work properly with recent snapshots
such as Lazarus-0.9.17-20060728-win32.exe.
It was O.K. with Lazarus-0.9.17-20060703-win32.exe and now it doesn't work
with recent snapshots. I thought that the bug was fixed.

If you open the table, the postgresql-client will allocate some memory
to store the data. That'll be 10+8=18 bytes plus something dependent on
it's own string-data-format.

Hi!
I downloaded the most recent snapshot (Lazarus-0.9.17-20060703-win32.exe)
this morning and now it finally works! I'm so excited about it, it's great!
Finally I can experiment with Lazarus as front-end for my PostgreSQL
databases. I'm so happy about
y much.

Hi Zlatko,
it has nothing to do with the amount of records, but with the amount of
fields. The size for one record.
lem remains! How do you explain that?

think that something is very wrong with SqlDB components...Values in some
columns are not displayed at all, or are displayed incorrectly (zero insted of
