I'm running 6.0.2-rc1 x86_64 and have been for months. I haven't had any
problems with ntpd (4.2.8p9).

I think he wants to save it before every reboot rather than manually.
That would need a crafted script to save it (probably from local.stop), and
then reload it on boot up & make sure dnsmasq picked it up. You could put
the script in /root as everything there is saved to configdb.lrp. However if
I already replied direct to Erich but here is the patch for
/etc/init.d/[iptables|ip6tables] to do the mount/unmount modules.sqfs properly.

I finally managed to get the apu2c2 to boot off a SD card. As I only use
syslinux once in a blue moon I forgot about mbr.bin. Neither fdisk nor
syslinux sets up the Master Boot Record so mbr.bin needs to be copied to the
first disk sector using dd.
The other thing to change is /dev/sda1. Linux
the line 'var/lib/misc/dnsmasq.leases' needs to be added to the file
var/lib/lrpkg/dnsmasq.local in the dnsmasq.lrp package. You can do that
locally - untar dnsmasq.lrp into a temporary directory, edit the file & then
re-tar the directory contents to dnsmasq.lrp. When the configuration is

I've given up on SD boot for the moment & ordered a mSATA card. It looks
like it will be easy to copy over the software & config on the USB stick.

I've got coreboot version 20160307. According to the PC Engines website this
introduces SD boot support. There is a 20160311 version so I may try that.

Would mounting /dev/sda1 permanently & readonly interfere with mounting it
readwrite temporarily somewhere else to update configdb.lrp?

o do the transfer.
Having transferred the appropriate (5.2.4) configs from the old router, I
have run into module loading problems - see my next e-mail for a discussion
of this.

Probably a stupid question but have you spelt the filename correctly? I
don't use resolv-file. I have that option not set and the following options set:
no-resolv
no-poll
server=
That works for me.

I've used it on an Alix board with a geode processor. You need to put
geodewdt timeout=25
in /etc/modules instead of 'softdog'.

There are 330 files in the vanilla 5.2.4 distro, taking up about 109Mbyte.
I suppose it's possible that it's a root dir issue if mkfs.vfat treats a CF
partition as a floppy. Otherwise I would have expected 512 to be enough. I'm
away from home at the moment but I'll try play around with that when I
to
see what happens when I do a proper update, though I think I may need a
bigger CF card for the next version - I only have about 11Mb free on this one.

I have had problems on Linux copying to CF cards - stopping after about

creating a FAT filesystem on it, mounting it via /dev/loop0 & copying all
the files. Then I used dd to copy the file to the CF card partition. That

Yes, you are right. It's also the way to specify parameters for modules that
may not be loaded at boot time but need the parameter set if they are
