Ian Holloway on Bielsa:
“I think he singled out Leeds because of the new fair play rules, you’re
only going to be able to spend a certain amount of money very soon and
Leeds will be a big, big club again very, very soon.”
I missed this change - is it going to be the end of parachute advantage?
Hi,
I've been prompted out of lurking
The translation by Salim is excellent. Note that Bielsa not only speaks
Argentinian Spanish, it's usually very technical (from a football point of
view) and then Salim has to get the balance right between the local football
speak and what is actually
not sure where my other post went, but Salim does not translate during
matches... he sits with the non-playing/injured players (Berardi,
Dallas,etc)
Translation during the match is in the hands of Corberan

Hmmm.
I must admit, I did think "I wonder if I should google this guy" while I
was writing that little critique!
Actually though, I am going to stick to my guns. He's obviously a
superbright and highly qualified bloke; but does he have the qualifications
to act as a translator, which is an
Sorbonne lecturer published author and One of the foremost experts on
Cuba's political history

As far as I know , Lamrani does no translating during the match and sits
with the injured players (Berardi, Dallas, Brownm, etc)
In fact, there are vides of him celebrating with the non-players during the
match (Alioski vs Forest)
During the match Corbaran appears to do all Bielsa's translating.
Just like everyone else on this list, I am now completely gaga about our
wonderful manager.
One thing though, and I've actually thought this for a while: no doubt part
of his success is that he has very good people working for him, but one
person he really needs to think about upgrading is his
Never used to dislike Lampard particularly. Was one of those players I wish
we'd signed in the O'leary days. My Chelsea fan friends reckon he's the
player they miss more than anyone of their squad under Mourinho.
Anyway, pretty sure Lampard is famous for his intelligence. Sure he had a
huge IQ
I thought exactly the same re Marcello and being on the scale. I’ve worked in
lots of stats based roles over the years, so the data outlined wasn’t in itself
unusual, but his approach to explaining it was akin to a database manager who
has worked with stats his entire life, who knows exactly
Derby Police confirmed that (there's a series of tweets between them and a
leeds fan) - I hate twitter - anyway, they confirmed that the club member
didn't have any pliers/bolt cutters etc.
He's definitely on the spectrum - everyone is, that's why it's a spectrum but
agree - in my limited
With regards to the diagnosis. I do not hold with diagnoses without an
examination. More important, unfortunately, diagnoses are used to either
stigmatise or medicate.
Bielsa is a very special, different and endearing man. I do not think that he
suffers, causes others to suffer or has any kind
A couple of thoughts / comments about 'spying' First - I was out last night
with some mates - 2 are Man City ST holders, 1 is scum and one Everton - All
four agreed that 'everyone does it' 'nothing wrong with it' and ' media and
other reaction well over the top' - no idea if these 4 are
I thought that was a pretty good article to be honest - nice to read one with a
balanced view. Presumably not on Sky’s pay-roll :-)
