Those rules are just intended to protect the traditional big sides like Man U,
Real Madrid, Barcelona etc from upstarts like Man City. It'd be a sad day for
football if they ever got implemented, as it would basically freeze the league
tables and Champions League, with those clubs forming
That is why they are spending now. Maybe even make salaries bonus related. If
they buy excessively now they can sell the surpluses and have that as income
for that year. Play a tournament on the sheiks back yard and get paid
ridiculous fees. There must be millions of easy ways around it.
