I thought of that. A few things are essential. Money is the first of them .
I am not writing Cellino off as the 'bad boy'. All of these guys cut
corners and bend rules. There are three kinds. Those that don't get caught,
those that do those who haven't a clue what's going on.

Amen to that...
Ever since our slide from the PL to this day, talk of Leeds has been just

Agree John, although for a bittersweet reflection of great times and heroic
failure that in some many ways epitomises the Leeds Utd experience, the
86-87 season with FA Cup Semi Final and play-off heartbreak takes some
topping...

As we're on the theme of ramshackle disorganised clubs stumbling from one
mess to another, it feels a good moment to raise the spectre of the list
favourite Leeds Lards.
I'm not quite sure who our manager is at the moment (it often seems to be
determined by who has got the kit to wash - perhaps a
Having played for the Lards all over the place, Reading, Leicester,
Nottingham, Boro, Livingston, I can safely say that Amsterdam is the best
location of them all. Great fun in a wonderful city. Seriously worth
dusting your boots off for.
And remember, Leeds Lards are an equal opportunities team.
That does sounds rather splendid... if any other Lards are up for a
pre-Amsterdam sojourn, I would be tempted... I do find it staggering to
think the booze could actually be cheaper though... it was frequently free

As it happens I lunched (:-0) with the representative of a fairly big
club here in the Puy de Dome who regretted never being able to send players
to Worldnet. But he did extend an invitation to us to participate in a
7-a-side veterans tournament on the 3rd May.
A must for those who ever did
Nothing is ever completely free - didn't you pay with a bloody (geddit)
great hole in your leg after the free drink persuaded you that it was a
good idea to play rugby with a 2 year old ;)

George came from Walsall. A bow legged small guy. What a dribbler. But he
had to beat his man twice. Sometimes he'd take on the corner flag too.
When the king of kings was there we had another winger. Jacky Overfield. As
fast as grease lightening. They'd belt the ball over for big John.
I forgot to add. My Uncle was mates with Georgie. Both being Scots, golfers
and soccer mad. When we signed Revie from Manchester City George summed it
up to my Uncle:
'We'll either be out on strike in a month or onto something real big'.
Maybe that says something about Cellino.
