In the Name List Options I had only one tick for Include Married

Jerry,
There is more than one way of doing this - see the Help Files, but
ViewMaster ListSourceEdit is one of them.

I asked the same question a while ago. I wanted to change the initial
selection of a Source Writer template (that generates the fields), to another
initial source writer template, as I discovered a much better template than
originally selected. The answer seemed to be that was not possible.
Hi Ron. See the previous post just written by Jim. So far, that has
not worked. It allows you to edit the source to an extent, but not to
go back to the very beginning where you created the basic template for
that source. You are locked into the way that source was created, it
seems, and
Jerry,
If you really meant to ask how can one change a template for a Source once
that template has been selected, then the answer is that it cannot be done.
This is pretty well true for every template for anything.

Yes, sorry, perhaps I should have worded that differently, but I said:
How can I go back into a source writer
source, from the very beginning of the process, to make needed changes?
So, yes, that would be referring to the template. Thanks. --Jerry

I see how a report in the .rtf format can generate a Table of Contents and
Name index, when opened in Microsoft Word, as taught in a recent Webinair.
This is fantastic. Apparently, when such Tables of Contents and Names are
input into Legacy, there is a code inserted, that Word uses to key into,
Jerry,
I'm still confused. Do you want to change to an entirely different template,
or do you want to change what you entered in a specific template?
If the former, as has been discussed, it is not possible to make a global
change. You will need to choose the new template, set up the new
You can't do it in Legacy or ltools but you could with Access. The
Source Citation may or may not come out OK.

Very true, Richard, but each case would have to have a customised solution.
Given the number of templates in Legacy and the number of possible
switchings, there is no point in waiting for Legacy or anyone else to cover
any, or all, of these options. So, one either has to write it oneself, or

Yes, there are many places to add the details. But you are not
restricted to just one.
Details could be put in more than one, then by selecting appropriate
options, have them printed one place one time and a different place
another time.
I like putting details in the Source Details Text but if I
