If no why are they different.
View Master Lists Source Find-a-Grave doesn't give a list of
names. It shows a list of sources.

Lana,
We have a recorded problem in our system that the backup prompt will not
appear if you are only changing a Master Source. You have to change the
data on a person by linking a source to someone. If you did not link
that obituary to anyone then your problem is the one recorded. If you
did
Tim is correct. I meant to say Show List on the first option.

In Vista and Win7 one is able to dictate to most any file that takes
text. My question has anyone tried this with Legacy? Is it possible?

I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking to dictate into the text fields of
sources. It helps to more quickly enter the text of sources.
I didn't know that Win 7 will do that. If it will it would be cheaper than
DNS. Let us know.

Can't say my tests were extensive - it's too near my bedtime for that -
but I just tried dictating into an

It works fine in text fields -- that is the text ends up where you want
it. The quality, however, is far from acceptable. Even with a good
microphone, clear monotone speech, and quite a bit of practice, the
results still require enough re-editing to make it more time consuming

you'll use a lot, you can choose to add the word to it's memory. Of

Thanks, Brian. That's probably what happened. I did go in later, link it
to some people, added some more obituaries and linked them to people, and it
did backup when I exited. So maybe I don't have a problem after all.
Thanks for letting me know about that.

I find that when I have added people in Legacy and I go to shut down, I get
the question, do you want to backup or skip, I click on skip!
The next two or three times after entering data in Legacy and I shut down,
the question box does not come up asking if I want to back up or skip.
Is this
If I have a woman married to a man and I want to add a child to her where
the existing spouse is not the child's father, how do I do it? I don't want
to end up with an RIN for the child's unknown father.
If I unlink the existing husband I can do it, but that wipes out the
marriage information, so
