I do not understand exactly what you mean. However, I suspect that you may have
someone incorrectly linked, eg. a child married to a parent/grandparent, or
some other relative, maybe two links etc. etc.. This would be somewhere around
where the loop starts, so I would start to look at

is up to yourself to work through the ancestors concern to find the
incorrect links. It is not due to duplicates, but rather to some
individual(s) being linked more than once. I would start by seeing if they

Are any of the children still living? If so what is the setting in the
report options Privacy Tab for treatment of living people.
Are any of the children marked as private or invisible (Check that on
their individual edit screen)?

They do all show on the family view. None are still living and are marked
so on the detail event screen. None have been marked private. Nolthing
at all is checked on the Privacy screen of the Report Options.
