Bob, I didn't even remember you could change the criteria there. They seem to be holding for the ones I've tried except the first gap setting - warn if first child born less than x months after marriage. I'll check it further and add the bug report but are there any particular ones not

In v9, if I go to Customize/ 8. View/ 8.11 Monitor Potential Problems/ Change Potential Problems Settings/ Warnings, make changes to ages, click on Set All, the changes are not saved. (Just close then reopen 'Change Potential Problem Settings' and all changes are back at the default settings.)

FYI, You can have two instances of Legacy running simultaneously, even the same version. One instance would run in a separate environment using sandboxie, a windows app. When you run it, it makes it's own copy of data files that it edits. I won't go into detail, but sometimes I find it

Margaret, v9 doesn't "delete" v8 - it installs over it, like practically every other program does when upgrading. You can run v7 and v9 side-by-side but the files are not compatible. You will have to covert a v7 file to the v9 format and in v9 you will need to make a gedcom to import into v7,

It sounds to me that the new hashtag option is more like another way of tagging existing events/facts, rather than adding them. Legacy only has nine tags but the hashtag option appears limitless, therefore no need to ever clear the hashtags. I presume there would be an option for creating lists
