I think the boxes in the pedigree tab in Legacy 8 are taller than they were in
version 7.5 to allow for a picture box for each individual. The boxes are the
same height whether or not option 8.9
It's already been updated in the beta.
It's ever so helpful if, when you refer to a Help topic, that you give
us the name of the topic at the top as well as the number in the lower
left corner.

You can't. The Screen font settings in Options Customize apply to
the whole interface.
