I want to conduct a Social Security Death Index search blitz and try to
locate entries for all the eligible people in my database who don't already
have an existing source citation for the SSDI. So...
I'd like to produce a search list of all the people in my database with 2

Carol,
Your comment that Source Writer is only suitable for American Sources is
incorrect. There are specific templates for BMDs and censuses for the
constituent countries of the British Isles.

Jean,
If you tag all those with an SSDI with, say, tag1 then search for all those
where tag1 is equal to untagged, you will have those you are looking for.

And, you also have to eliminate everyone who died before SSDI was introduced in
the 20thc :-)

Legacy’s Add-On Gen-Smarts will do that for you. As a matter of fact, it is on
sale right now. Gen-Smarts will also tell you which records need articles from
Genealogybank.com and many others. It allows you to isolate what type of
record.

I stand corrected although having just taken a look at the templates I think I
prefer the system I have set up. That though is probably just a personal

You can find people in the SSDI with birthdates as early as 1874. Although
they are few of them, it just might be that they are there. You may not find
many that died before 1940 or even 1961 but there are a few. The death index
