Jerry, Your description is an accurate summary as to how the Export Options work. My comment was a reply to a post by Arnold and related only to his specific question, which details the options given in your post, after GEDCOM is first selected. Ron Ferguson http://www.fergys.co.uk/ From:

[LegacyUG] Advanced sourcing help needed.

Hello, Is this possible? I have an event I created called Ancestral town, added to about 200 people, all with the same source. I am trying to assign abt 80 of them a different source, that's already in the source list, while keeping it in the same event. I have the 80 people tagged on 1 that I want

Why not just edit the old source that you already have for the 80 people and then Legacy will change it for everyone? I think that would be the easist thing to do. ___ Leon Chapman chap...@gmail.com - On Sat, Mar 31, 2012 at 2:48 PM, Brian Lehman blr...@optonline.net wrote: Hello, Is this

How curious! In any case, the omission of the latitude and longitude from customised lists has been confirmed by Legacy as a bug and been reported. It is the _PLAC_DEFN tag that is missing. Regards, Jennifer http://colston-wenck.com -Original Message- From: ingmar.s...@mimer.no

Leon, Brian, If I understand Leon correctly then I do not think that it will work since I think it will change all 200 sources, not just the 80 required. I cannot see a way of doing this other than manually, but since, Brian, you are prepared to delete manually, why not change one Event/Source

Ron: I reread her email and I agree, it will change all 200 sourced people. If you had a souce assigned to just 80 people, then you can just edit the Source and it will correct all of the sourcing to those 80 people. I do not see anyway in the Advanced Tagging that will allow you to change this

That's how I did it,Leon, Individually, one ate a time, It works, I have many 'lumped sources, such as New York Birth Certificates, that I want to divided among several counties. I was hoping advanced tagging and sourcing clipboards could make the job easier. Thanks, Brian Legacy User Group
